South Africa emerge as one of the leading travel destination for Indians in 2022. Owning to its robust recovery efforts and aim to promote diverse, authentic destination offerings through the More and More campaign, an increasing number of Indian tourists are choosing South Africa as their next adventure destination. Witnessing over a 200% surge in travellers from India compared to the previous year, the rainbow nation welcomed nearly 50 thousand indian till november last year, significantly exceeding its goal of bringing 33,900 plus visitors set at the begining of the recovery year.

India is South Africa's sixth-largest source market for tourism. To get an e-visa, the waiting period is 7 to 10 days. The return flight ticket costs around 35 thousand dollars. South Africa comprises 43% leisure and 41% MICE tourism. South Africa's population is 57 million, and most of the youth here are facing unemployment. South Africa has a moderate crime rate, but the tourists are safe. Women are now playing a larger role in economic growth in South Africa. South Africa wants Indian tourists.
